Mevagissey, and Cornwall in general, are great places for a Spring visit. Spring comes early to Britain's most south-westerly county as it benefits from warmer weather than the rest of the country. Primroses and Spring flowers bloom early across Cornwall. Probably nowhere in Cornwall benefits more than Mevagissey which, with protective hills to the west, enjoys its own micro-climate. This makes Mevagissey an excellent base to enjoy walks on the South West Coastal Path, seen below at Portloe.

Nearby places to visit include Caerhays Castle which re-opens its gardens to the public on Monday 19th February 2018. Visit to see their world renowned magnolia collection.
